God is truly good. Sometimes His goodness is overwhelming. Sometimes His goodness seems veiled by difficult circumstances. But He is good all the time, and all the time He is good. “Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; His faithful love endures forever.” (Psalm 107:1)
I want to thank God for the two new staff members that He has added to our church. Matt Butts, our youth minister, has a heart for God, a love for people, and a desire to see young people saved and growing in their relationship with Christ. Ryan Jones, our worship leader, has a heart for God, a love for people, and a desire to see people worship God through the medium of music. Join me in praying for them, not only their ministries, but their lives and their school work.
I want to thank God for the new members we had yesterday. Eli Grayson came giving His heart to Jesus and wanting to follow the Lord in baptism. Tom and Janice Butts came by transfer of letter from a sister church, as did Jason and Stephanie Ommen. We are so thankful for these new members of our Beechwood Family. Please pray for them as they settle in to serve the Lord here.
I want to thank God for the positive vote to adopt the plans presented by the Building Committee and to proceed with site preparation. Pray for that work.
We grieve over two losses in the last month. We grieve over the passing of Earl Holmes who was a dear friend to so many of us and a leader in this church for many years. Earl was a godly man and our loss is heaven’s gain. Please pray for the Holmes family in this loss.
We also grieve for Joseph and Shea Walker in the loss of their pre-born child. Please pray for the Walkers in their time of loss.
I ask for prayer for our church as we seek to move forward in the mission and vision God has given us.
