Jeffrey Griffis - Pastor
 

Bro. Jeff began serving Beechwood Church as Senior Pastor on January 10, 1994.  He and his wife, Debra, have four children, Joseph, Bethany, Charissa and Jamie. Jeff is a graduate of Samford University and New Orleans Theological Seminary.  Jeff feels that preaching God’s Word is his most important task. He says, "My greatest fear is that I would take the most exiting news the world has ever heard, the gospel of Christ, and present it in a way that puts people to sleep. I hope that in my preaching of God’s Word, I present it with the interest and enthusiasm it deserves so that people leave church saying, ‘I’m really glad I came.’"  Jeff and his family live in Gardendale.

Scott Prestley - Minister of Students and Family

Lisa Blake - Director of Music Ministries
 

Lisa grew up in Escatawpa, Mississippi.  She graduated in 1993 from Mississippi University for Women with a B.S. degree in Mathematics and minor in Computer Information Systems.  Although her degree is not associated with music, her passion for music has spanned her entire life.  She has been playing the piano in church since she was around 9 years old, beginning with playing specials during the Offering and eventually filling in for the church pianist.  She has been singing in church choirs for as long as she can remember, from preschool and children's choirs to becoming a soloist for her youth choir and joining an Ensemble group in her 20's.  In 1998, she felt called to fill a need at Beechwood by becoming the Church Pianist, and in January of 2003, God expanded that call and led her, through much prayer, to become the Director of Music Ministries.  Lisa is married to Andy Blake of West Point, Mississippi.  They now reside in Gardendale, Alabama and have a house full of "joyful noise" supplied by four children, Drew, Kara, Eli and Halle.

Teresa Hawkins - Office Administrator
 

Teresa has served on the Church Staff since 1984.  She has held positions as Financial Secretary, Church Secretary and Office Administrator. She and her husband, Marty, have two children, Cari and Jonathan.  They live in Mount Olive.

Marty Hawkins - Minister of Church Administration
 

Marty was called into the ministry in 2005 and began serving as a volunteer Church Administrator in April, 2006. He retired March, 2008 from the Social Security Administration after 33 years of service. He has held various administrative positions in both the Church and in secular work. He is a graduate of UAB where he majored in Sociology.  As the Church Administrator, he oversees the operation, safety and security of the Church campus, the Church vehicles, Church committees, ministry teams, policies and procedures. He also serves as the first-line supervisor to the Preschool Coordinator, Cleaning Coordinator and Hostess.  He is married to Teresa Hawkins.

Lorie Dill - Preschool Coordinator
 

Lorie oversees the Pre-School area which includes babies through 4 year olds. 

Alton Giles - Cleaning Coordinator
 

Alton unlocks the Church doors before services and insures the Church is locked and secure after services.

Annie Ruth Harman - Organist
 

Annie Ruth provides organ accompaniment during the 11:00 am Sunday morning worship service and 2 Sunday evening services.

Kelly Chapple - Pianist
 

Kelly provides piano accompaniment during the 11:00 am Sunday morning worship service and 2 Sunday evening services.

Donna Tunner - Hostess
 

Donna has served as Church Hostess since Jan.1995. She plans and coordinates the Wednesday Night Fellowship meals and other churchwide fellowships. Donna and Pete have 2 children, Amy Jones and Allison Baldis. They also have 3 grandchildren, Tunner Jones, Alyssa Baldis and Payton Baldis.
