Long Range Plan

The North Jefferson area has seen  tremendous growth in the last few years and this growth is expected to continue especially with the completion of the northern half of I-459 which will run through Mt. Olive. With a Church Campus of 10 acres, church planners and developers predict our membership at Beechwood could possibly grow to 1000 members.  In order to meet the growth needs of our church and the ministry needs of our community, we adopted a new Master Plan in April, 2006.  The new Master Plan consists of 5 Phases, including worship, education, recreation, administration buildings and adequate parking to accommodate 1000 members.

Phase 1, a new 13,363 sq ft Preschool/Children's Building which will connect to the back of our present Sanctuary, is currently underway.  The new 2-story building will have 6 Preschool rooms, 6 Grade 1-6 rooms, Kitchen facilities, ADA restrooms, Office and Storage space, a Children's Worship Center and a large Activity Room/Half Gymnasium. The building will meet State codes for Kindergarten/Daycare programs. A covered Drive through will be at the back of the building.  A new Children's Playground will be established directly behind the new building.  Also, during this phase, the current Preschool area will be remolded and used for our growing Youth Dept.

Phase 2 will be a 7,216 sq ft addition to the Phase 1 Preschool/Children's Building and will include 10 additional classrooms. The existing Preschool/Youth Educational building will be removed to make room for the new building. The Youth will meet in the upper 6 classrooms of this building until Phase 3 is completed. 

Phase 3 will be an 18,000 sq ft Family Life Center with a full-size gymnasium that will also double as a 460 person Fellowship Hall with full Kitchen facilities. There will also be an Office, Game Room, Arts/Crafts Room, Exercise Room and General Purpose Room. The second floor will have a Walking Track and will house a 150 student Youth Dept.

Phase 4 will be a remodeling of our present Sanctuary into a 250 person Chapel and 8 Adult Classrooms. Worship will move into the Family Life Center until Phase 5 is completed.

Phase 5 will be a new 750 person Worship Center, a Fellowship Mall, Music Suite and an Administration area housing the Church Offices.

This is a very exciting time in the life of Beechwood Baptist Church as we see God's plan unfolding.

Jeremiah 29:11-13 says "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart".
